I had the Murad Oil Control Mattifier SPF 15 PA ++ in mind for years but never took the splurge saying that it won’t work on my skin. Of course, while I was in line to pay at Sephora I saw it and grab it. So glad I did after seeing so many raves about this.
This is a shine reducing moisturizer that is supposed to protect your skin and control the excess of oil for more than eight hours. This is actually true. The white, glue like consistency can scare you at first but when it melt into your skin when you warm it up and it is simply perfect. It doesn’t leave a white cast like a sunscreen at all. This kind of gives you a dewy finish but once all your makeup is applied it will gives you a matte finish that is not cakey at all. I love how moisturizing this is without making me look like an oil stick.
This make wonders, I don’t have to constantly touch up my makeup trough the day. If you are already using a Murad Skincare regiment, this can be used as a third step. For a moisturizer that contains SPF, it’s not heavy at all. Also this is mostly a product for people with combination or oily skin. If you have dry skin, I wouldn’t suggest. To use, simply put some on your face, neck and chest.
The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that it smelled like Vicks (you know the medicine for cough).
For 39.50$, my money was well spent has this is a miracle for my everyday makeup looks even when it’s fully sunny and hot outside.
