Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo Concealer

This may be strange for a beauty blogger, but this is the first ever product I’m trying from Kat Von D. The brand from the famous tattooist has been out for years but never had the chance to try anything so far. So after seeing the Lock-it Tattoo concealer in a blog post, I had to go and buy it.
Due to the name, I was expecting quite a lot from this product mostly because of the quote on the box ‘’No one has to see what you don’t want them to see’’. The coverage better had to be exceptional. I don’t have perfect in anyway so I need a concealer that will cover most of my dark spots and acne scars and this one is pretty good at it. I purchase the product in the shade Deep 38 which is the darkest one for 31$/17ml-0.58 oz. There’s is 9 shades total. Concealers are really pricey these days, with 10-15$ more I can purchase a 50ml foundation. The color I pick up was way darker online than in reality and thankfully it end up being the perfect shade.

This is one of the best I’ve tried, it is very creamy and thick but not heavy at all. This concealer is very easy to blend and can be use alone or with a foundation. It also stays perfectly intact through the day. This concealer and the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer are the only ones that doesn’t change color on me during the day.

On my lazy days, I like to simply use it with my Laura Mercier primer and Make Up For Ever Duo Mat powder. Lately in Montreal it’s been very warm and sunny and spent some time outside and my makeup stayed on place perfectly. The other thing that attracts me was the plastic packaging which I’m sure I won’t waste any product.

The only thing I didn’t like is the fact that it is very watery. At first, I taught that I got a bad product but after reading a few comments online I learned it was because of the formula. Having said that, for your own comfort make sure to shake the bottle.

If you have tried Kat Von D product, suggest some to me
